BIography
I'm a British, classically-trained songwriter in the pop and adult contemporary genres. I grew up on ABBA and disco, but my interests in music grow broader with age and I find myself fascinated with anyone from Lady Gaga, One Republic, Coldplay, Maroon 5, Adam Lambert, John Meyer and anyone else who can write a strong hook and a thoughtful, fresh lyric.
Since getting serious about songwriting in 2016 I have won numerous first prizes and finalists in major songwriting competitions. "Rewind" the Alt-Rock category in the 2017 SongDoor International Songwriting Contest of 2017, "Still Not Sorry" won the Pop Category in the 2018 UK Songwriting Contest and in early 2019 I was awarded the Grand Prize for "Sing Me Your Blues" in the SongDoor competition. Additionally I was awarded "Solo Songwriter of the Year" in the 2019 International Songwriting Awards, had three songs in the finals of the John Lennon Songwriting Competition and was a finalist in the Lyricist of the Year contest 2019. In 2018 I had seven of my songs played on BBC Radio Introducing.
In 2019 I am embarking on a number of exciting projects including songwriting collaborations with up and coming singer-songwriter Livio Hans.
My song "In These Heels" was arranged for SATB choir and soloist and received its premiere in Paris and then Brussels in summer 2019, featuring legendary drag singer La Diva Live!
As of October 2019, I've just signed with Ocean Music in Sweden for a multi-song distribution deal.
